My fun weekend

This weekend we had the Season Finals for the roller hockey tournament series that I run. This time of the year is too fun, full days of good hockey and great friends. After the games of the day we all go out and have way too much fun. Through the whole 4 days I had about 5-6 hours of sleep. So tired but so worth it. Friday night, we went out with a few of the coaches had some champagne (me) and sat and talked to about 3 am. Saturday night was the craziest. Danielle and I got off early-ish (10pm) and bought some bubbly and went back to the hotel room and starting drinking and playing scrabble! It was too fun! The rules were, no point tracking, if you can explain your word you can use it! Then our good friend/coach joined us and then my cousin joined us! Hubs never has fun with us, he likes to let us do our thing! We played scrabble some more, then Danielle drifted off to bed, then we had a club going on in the room, then Chantel drifted off to bed. Gerry and I are the same age and so then we got crazy! haha....we started playing truth or dare. We played like 5 year olds! We prank called the front desk, went running up and down the halls of the hotel and tried another game of scrabble. Then 4 am came real quick, he had to catch a plane to Florida for Team USA tryouts and missed his plane!!! Luckily he caught the next one AND made the team. I had to be up at 5:30am....that was not a very pretty thing.

Sunday night was pretty low key, small dinner with friends and got a little more sleep but still lots of fun! We are so lucky to be involved in this sport the way we are and have such great friends!

By the way, my mom and mother inlaw had the children that weekend.

Home Made Baby Food

I have been doing much research on making my own baby food.

Every thing I read says its much healthier and much more cost efficient. Not that baby food is too expensive anyways, but I guess it does add up. Im all for this. I mean, I cook all day anyways, why not, whats a few extra dishes if its for the best for my baby girl.

I used to say, oh heck no, I dont have time for that or that seems too hard or time consuming. Not any more.....with 3 children, you have no free time so might as well jam pack your days right!?

Has anyone out there done this with their children? What are your thoughts, any good recipes? Any downfalls?

Ive seen lots of recipes that sound sooo good. Normally I will only eat the store bought vanilla custard, haha nothing else. Why on earth would I want to shove something in my babies mouth that I wouldn't myself eat? No preservatives or additives or any other harmful chemicals.....I am all about this.

We are not quite an all organic eating family. My children are all underweight by nature and I have to beef them up with lots of fats because they prefer to eat strawberries and blueberries and carrots and celery and all that by the carton. They are so active and so they really dont have too much chubs, they are lean mean, crazy machines! In turn if I can get them to eat some fat here and there I have to. Anyways, the point of that paragraph was to say that we are not that organic family, that is not the reason I want to do this, not because it comes natural. Im sure it will be difficult to keep up with it or to even want to do it when the time comes. I will try it out and let every one know how it goes. Quinnie will be 4 months sooner that I want to know!!!!

I asked for permanent make up, I got it.....

kinda.

So I know Ive said many times how much I dislike the Chanel liquid liner I have...I really dont like it, not one bit, worse thing ever made.

Then I spoke of getting permanent eye liner. There were mixed reviews there, I was unsure.

So then I went to the mall yesterday and was gonna pick up my trusted ol' MAC liquid liner, I asked for it by just saying black liquid liner, paid and thats it. This morning I go to get it out of the box and was like "oh new packaging!"...then I open it and see, oh not the right one. The one I normally get has a spongy tip so its like a marker, this one is like old school liquid liner with an actual brush at the end. I can do both, so no biggie, I'm up for something new! I put it on and I love it, goes on smooth and easy, looks great, I'm happy.

Come night time, time to wash face and what do you know? This shit is not washing off! I wash with several different face washes and nothing! My mascara and everything else has come off, not the eye liner, I laugh. Yesterday I was talking with my friend and she says she uses baby oil to take her eye make up off. I just saw some under my counter. I try it....it still took a little scrubbing but the baby oil took it off!!! I thought I had maybe fallen asleep during the day and had my liner tattooed on!

Anyways, love the liner! I totally recommend it, just a little difficult to get off which I am A-OK with, better than coming off through out the day which that Chanel one very much did!

Shes 3 Months Old!!

Beautiful Baby Quinn Analeigh Rocco is 3 months old today!

March 9 2010 I welcomed my wonderful daughter in to this world!

She is such a great baby, she is so relaxed and calm. She sleeps more than any baby I have ever had. A few weeks ago she started sleeping threw the night and shes in her crib as well! She goes to sleep around 10pm and will wake up around 6am to eat and then go back to sleep until 9 or 10am. Quinn will be an early bloomer, not only is she rolling from side to side, she talks up a storm, on belly time she uses her little legs to scoot her off her mat! ....then she got a tooth!!! Its half way out but its there!! I couldnt believe it, I was so astounded I didnt know what to do, I even thought of taking her to the emergency room!! Yes me, if you have been reading my blog, I dont take my kids to the ER unless they are bleeding or having trouble breathing! I really just didnt know what to do!!! Luckily I came to my senses and realized, its just an early tooth! We say that she got it as a defense mechanism against her crazy brothers....she thought, I better start sprouting teeth incase they decide to take their crazy out on me, Ill be prepared!

She really is the best little baby I could have ever asked for!! The best part is when she wakes up in the morning and I go to her room to get her and she has the biggest smile on her face when she sees me!! Love you baby girl, keep on growing.

Im Here, Im Here

As I am writing this I have such a head ache!

Life has been extremely busy, which is a good thing! Right now is super busy in the roller hockey world....so in turn Im super busy. So when I have free time, I make the most of it with my kids! Not to mention, my computer broke like 2 weeks ago and I barely got a new one. I had went in to Best Buy to get a new one like 2 days after it went bonkers and I only had a limited amount of time to do so and of course the store was super busy, so I left. Then we had to go to California for West Coast Nationals which was super duper fun and busy! We are lucky people to be involved in something like this! I am greatful! So after that we came home and I was exhausted and then I got the stomach flu and now here I am finally with my beautiful computer!!! I got the 15.4" MacBook Pro! I was hesitant on getting a Mac for the sole purpose of having to learn a whole new operating system, so far so good. Not too bad.

Besides being busy with hockey and life, one major mile stone was hit during all the chaos, sweet Olivers 2nd birthday!

My sweet baby! This kid makes life as hard as can be, but he also makes it as fun as can be! He is for sure the best of both worlds. He has been defiant since birth, he is no easy child, just him equals about 3 kids. He is a daredevil, he is a dreamer, he is an intellect (hes figured out just about all the child locks in the house), he IS a lover, he is a flirt, he is a bully, he is a mamas boy, he is a daddys boy, he is a leader, he is a warrior, he is a barbarian, he is our mountain man, he is fearless, he is sweet, he is a baby, he is just about everything balled in to one. You remember when we were small we would mix all different soft drinks to make a "suicide soda"....he is my "suicide baby"...speaking of mixing everything together, he is a fan of "suicide cereal", he loves to mix all the cereals up together and eat that for breakfast!

God has blessed me with the most beautiful child of all, you have not seen a more beautiful boy until you've seen Oliver, I promise you. My Jack is all man and a handsome, good looking, little man, but Oliver is just plain beautiful, he is pretty, its crazy how you can have the cutest children and they are beautiful in their own unique ways. On a side note, his prettiness does not convert over, I've tried dressing him up for fun in clips and headbands....hes not a very appealing Olivia!! =)

God had a smirk on his face when he blessed us with Oliver, I believe he said, if you can handle him, you can handle anything and 2 years later, we are going strong, beaten up a bit, but stronger than ever and still going. Hubs and I talk sometimes about the kind of young adult, teenager Oliver will be, lets just say, we are ready for a bumpy ride! He will probably try and steal Jacks girlfriends and lure Quinns friends. We say that when Quinn is 14 and has her friends stay over, we will probably have to send Oliver to one of his friends houses for the night! He IS a ladies man. He is full of charm, full of charisma and it never stops. He doesnt even need to use words, its all in his eyes. He can make any female melt with a look of his flirty eyes, no lie. He is a wonderer, I often times wonder if he will be the same in his adult life and take the world by storm, traveling everywhere this earth has to offer.

Oliver has a zest for life and it shows, hes always curious, always wondering whats behind each door, outside each window, can never get him to sit still.

He is all boy to the core, he is a meat and potatoes kind of boy, he eats us out of a house, hes always willing to try new food, always the first to want seconds!

As much as he torments his older brother, he also looks up to him, he adores his sister so much he smothers her with his love (in the form of his body, he still doesnt realize she cant hold his weight!)

Hes anything but traditional or conventional, this is not your average child, he comes with a warning in tact and I love him to pieces for it. Im thankful everyday that God gave us this tremendous challenge in Oliver, with him, my hands are full, and like I say, having my hands full is better than having my hands empty, wouldnt you say?

What do you know....thinking about my sweet baby Oliver, my headache disappeared. I love him so.
