Permanent Make Up

What do you all think of permanent make up? Im thinking of doing it! For my eyeliner only. I wear eyeliner every day and unless you go to the gym with me or are a good friend of mine, or my husband and kids, you will not see me with out eyeliner/make up. Doing your eyeliner well takes time....and I use liquid. So this is just a thought has any one had permanent make up? What were your experiences?

I was reading up on it and saw that you can even get permanent blush! I know you can get eyebrows and lipstick, but I never knew about blush. That seems weird to me. I have a few concerns about the eyeliner...not serious concerns. Ok...this is my concern about the blush too, not that I would get blush, but with the eyeliner, is it going to appear faded after you put your eyeshadow on? Like if you just wear a base color for the day, will the light powder make it appear faded. What about concealer...most of us wear concealer, will that "conceal" the liner? Those are my thoughts on the blush too...wont putting your powder or foundation over it hide it? Hmm...and if you wear no make up to places....which for me would only be the gym, would I look like a freak? I would think.

I was also reading to be careful where you get it. The recommended place is a plastic surgeons office. On your eyebrows and eyeliner, if they make a mistake and you need to laser it off, it could most possibly take your brows and lashes off with it! Then if there is a mistake with your blush or lipstick and you need to fix it, the flesh colored ink can turn black with laser removal! Yikes! This is a big thing, and I think may have just talked myself out of it, unless someone totally has the most awesome thing to say about it that I just cant help but not get it!

I will hunt you down and find you

Ok, I can get ghetto, that is no secret, mess with me and its on. Which is why this app. was the perfect app for me to download on my blackberry! I ALWAYS keep my phone on silent, Im not sure why. Maybe its because, I dont like to hear when I get messages or phone calls, I like to be all, "hey wheres my phone", "Oh there it is, and whoa, I have like 6 texts, 4 bbms, 2 miss calls"....I guess I like to feel special, even though all of that is in the time of 3 hours. Anyways, there ARE times when I forget where the heck I put my phone and I can not find it. There are also times like the time recently where I left my phone in the store, Im so lucky that all times that has happened my precious phone has been recovered!

Ok so the friend thats living with us, the one who I picked up from the airport that day I lost my phone in Wally World, told me about this app that can turn your phone on from silent, if you misplaced it. I decided to find out about that. The app is called Wheres My Phone, they have the app for Blackberrys and Droids, I know that for sure, not sure what other phones. Anyways, I was like this is cool, then I read about the upgraded version...now we're talkin'. This app is $3.99 for the life of that app, not monthly or weekly. This app, can GSP your phone if you lost it! Its connected to your email, so you can do all your research through your computer. So, you can find your phone via GPS, you can lock your phone so who ever finds it can not go through your private things, I know your thinking, well how will they know to call you? You can still keep your phone locked but also send an alert that will pop up on the front screen, saying please call.....to return this phone to its owner. AWESOME!...You can also get the phone to call you on another phone, so if you misplaced it, you can hear whats going on to try and find it, or you can hear who has your phone and start yelling "hey, hey you, give me back my phone!"

But I must say, the GPS is my favorite! You better believe, if you have my phone, I will hunt you down and find you and take my phone back. Thats pretty creepy huh? Serves you right for trying to steal someones phone!

Weekends Filled With Fun

So we had another soccer game this Saturday and I have to say I absolutely love them! I cant wait for Oli to be able to start playing sports too! I never thought I would be a sports mom. To tell you the truth before I had kids, I would see neighbors carting their kids all over to sports and what not every weekend and I would think, that will NEVER be me. I have said that about a lot of things where being a parent is concerned, one of which being that I would NEVER go to amusement parks with my kids. There was a point at the end of last year and beginning of this year in a 6 month period, we went to Disneyland 3 times! Things definitely do change....Im proof of that! I LOVE going to soccer games, bringing treats for all the kids and cheering my little guy on, even though hes running the opposite way of the play, even though hes running hand in hand with another kid on his team chasing a kid from the other team on the other side of the field! Its a blast really!

So Im not gonna bore you with more of the same pics...just a few.

Oli is cheering his bro on! He loves Jacks Little Marc fedora.
Best buds on the field!
Momma and Quinn, watching the game!
After the game....
Oliver, watching the next game wishing it was him!

Then Sunday we went for lunch at the Olive Garden, had a glass of yummy wine, went home put the kids down for a nap, then after nap time we went to Boulder Beach. Its in Boulder City and its part of Lake Mead but in Boulder City. I wanted to go to let the kids run some energy out and just make some memories, theres only so much park runs you can do in a life time so its time to change it up a bit here and there! The kids had a blast!!! Jack did not want to leave and we actually went at the perfect time about 5pmish, every one was leaving and the weather wasn't so hot and we didnt have to pay to get in!

I also got a new lens for my camera. It was a little tricky to get use to, but after lots of playing with it for a few days, I have finally got the hang of it...here are some pictures that I caught, I really love them. I tried to pick a few of my favs but I couldnt...just be happy I was able to narrow it down this much!!!

Lifting boulders!
LOVE THIS PICTURE!

We have lots of fun planned for next weekend too!!!

All About Me, You, Whoever

Lately, coming after taking care of my kids, I set my second priority to me! I recently found that taking care of me not only makes me happy but also makes me a joy to be around! Haha...
I recently started going to the gym again, trying to watch what I eat (haha who am I kidding, somewhat though) and caring and actually doing something about the way I look. I tend to just let myself go. Dont get me wrong, we all know, I will always dress nice and do my hair and make up but this goes further than that. Normally I let my hair cuts go and I just let my dye job fade in to the ....whatever its fading in to...I dont know. But not any more! I found an awesome stylist that is in sync with what I want so Im not afraid to get my hair cut any more! I bought my favorite shampoo, Thickening by Bumble & Bumble. For fine hair, it really is the best. I bought also the thickening spray and surf spray, all for more volume and body. Just with an updated head of hair, I feel better already! I love all these products, they make for a great blow out and hair day!

So now to working out. Ive been trying to go to spin class as you all know already. I love it and hate it. I hate getting up in the morning, thats the only part I hate, once Im up and at the gym, its a breeze, the feeling not the class! This class is super intense, it really tests your will to get fit. If you can make it through these classes you can do anything! I have also been doing the belly dancing class (great for hips and belly), zumba (just a latin dance aerobic class), and kick boxing. I spoke with one of the spin instructors and she said that I would want to do spin 3 days a week at the most and then just mix in with some strength training. Thats what Im trying to do! I lost 3 more lbs this week! Its great to feel good.

Im not only working out to lose weight, but also to feel good. When I get back from the gym, I really feel like I can conquer the world. I get more stuff done around the house, Im more tolerant with the kids and most important Im sooo happy. Your mood throughout the day really determines how productive you will be. I love feeling like this and so I try to make it to the gym as often as I can.

Now Im going to get in to skin care....Ive had a few questions about it, so I thought I would blog about it. I make a point to take great care of my skin...just who I am and I learned early. I am by no means a skin care expert or professional this is just little things that I have learned and what I believe.

First and foremost, protect your self from the sun/uv rays, so yes people that means tanning salons. I used to work at a tanning salon in high school and I was the only person that worked there that didnt tan! Luckily Im just not a fan of the tan look on myself either. Ok so spf your skin everyday...dont forget your neck and chest and hands....stay out of the sun as much as possible and stop baking yourself...your not a cookie, or you are, thats on you. Second, always wash your face before bed, NEVER go to sleep with make up on. There are times Im lazy and I keep facial wipes in my nightstand, those nights are few and far between, but they happen, so be prepared. Third, keep your skin hydrated, through plenty of water and cream. Just because your oily doesnt mean you do not wear moisturizer! Your skin is over producing oil because its lacking hydration, so give it some! And yes, hydrate at night! Get a great face scrub, the purpose is to get rid of dead skin cells to generate new ones. New skin is always a plus! Im not a fan of chemical scrubs, I like to feel it. Cosmedicine at Sephora has a reallly good scrub for a great price. Every now and then do a great mask, cleansing, hydrating, oxygen....something good! I also prefer to stay away from heavy make up such as foundation, find a good tinted moisturizer with spf, or just use a good powder! Stop re-applying make up through out the day. I take great care of my skin and there for my make up stays on all day. The only time I re-apply is if Im going some where special at night or what not. But my theory is...through out the day, your face acquires dirt, oil, stuff like that and then you trap all that stuff under more make up...then it has no choice but to sink in to your skin. Again just my theory.

These are my basics...nothing fancy. Nothing too hard to get a great complexion. Great skin = pretty people!

I have done a post about the products I love before so you can reference those Here and if you have any other questions about this post or products I like, feel free to ask!

3 Year Old Soccer & Mothers Day

So Saturday was Jacks first soccer game! It was sure the funniest thing to watch! Imagine a bunch of 3 & 4 year olds running around with pretty much no clue as to what they are doing! Here are a few pictures....Jack was great , but there were times when he was just chasing butterflies! I love the picture where he is schmoozing the girl from the other team. Distraction....there you go Jack, distract her so your team can score!

Mothers Day was amazing. Saturday I actually went and got my hair cut/colored, my eyebrows threaded and a pedicure/manicure. It was soooo relaxing. That was my present, so I thought! Sunday, I got my Michael Kors perfume, Very Hollywood, smells so good and it came with a cute Michael Kors make up case! I also got a spice rack! haha, hubs didnt like the way I had my spices organized, so he decided to get me a really cool spice rack! I loved it. My mom, dad and cousin came to visit. We had a great day! I hadn't seen my mom in a long time and so I was excited to see her. We didnt get to go do our normal shopping that we love to do together but we still had fun!

MIA - Random Friday

I know I have been missing. Its been a busy two weeks with hockey tournaments, back to back! Luckily we arent working this Saturday, making our peeps do it with out us! I have been trying to get on and at least comment on some of my favoritos! Hopefully I will be back this week.

Jack has his first soccer game tomorrow! Yay!

Hubs new hire, long time friend, is living with us for a few weeks until his family comes down at the end of the month.

Quinn is on an awesome schedule, so in turn, we have developed a great schedule that pretty much leaves me no time for much else. Thats ok, because I love spending time with my nutty ones!

I have been going to the gym, pretty religiously. At least 3 times a week (ok so that is not so much religiously) and I feel awesome. Im just trying to get my eating under control. Its so hard to go from pregnant eating (we all know what thats like at 9 months pregnant) to losing weight eating! It doesnt help that my son is a born baker and wants to bake just about every day! I do it because I love it too and because it is "our" thing. So its been super hard to stay away. I made the most unhealthiest and most delicious cookies on earth last week with Jack and only had 2, yay me, but this week, we made a heavenly chocolate cake with chocolate chocolate chip filling and vanilla bean whipped frosting....my sweet spot.

Ive been experimenting with some new, from my head recipes this week, Ive been pretty successful!

Ok, I lost my phone in Walmart of all places! I hate Walmart, if you have been a follower for a while you know this, but there is a really nice Walmart about 15 minutes from me and is sooo worth it, even hubs took a step in side! Anyways, it was just me and Oli and 1 Oliver is equivalent to 5 normal children. So somehow, the last 10 minutes of our trip, my phone disappeared! I looked everywhere, retraced our steps from the last point I remember having it. Kept checking customer service, NOTHING. I wanted to cry. I just got my new Blackberry...with my pretty blingy case. I was like, no effin way anyone from Walmart is going to turn in my beautiful phone! The people that worked there, when I was talking to them were pretty shady, at least the manager on duty was. So I ran to the airport to pick up hubs friend and he text my phone saying, please give me back. Hubs texted and said please return and call his number. Every time hubs phone rang, I jumped to see if it was a 702 number, nope! So I reactivated my old Blackberry and got to business with the phone insurance....while I was on hold, hubs phone rang!!! It was MY phone!!!!, well the people with my phone! You better believe I rushed right over and even gave them $50...hopefully it will encourage them to always be honest like that! I was just so happy! I know its just a phone, but my Blackberry is my life, after my family of course! So I must have done something good to deserve my phone back!

On a weird side note....My friend was dropping her son off at kindergarten and this weird lady who is a nursing student/mom/police wife, went up to my friends car, this person also has a child at the elementary school, and spits on my friends window! Who does that? What do you all think about that? I would love to know!

Potty Training Woes...No More!

Finally!!!

My super big boy at the ripe age of 3 years and 4 months is finally potty trained!

I seriously thought this day would never come! He refused and refused to potty train....he knew how to do it, but he was a lazy bum! So we decided to just take diapers away and do pull ups only. Then the day after that decision was made and implemented, I was talking with one of Olivers teachers about Jack potty training and she had some very wise words. She first asked, "is he uncomfortable in a dirty diaper?" The answer was heck no, he never has been, he could care less if his diaper was dirty! She said that pull ups are no different then a diaper, they just hold less, but if he wasnt uncomfortable in a diaper there will be no difference in a pull up. She said to just go cold turkey and underwear all the time, we need to make him uncomfortable.
So that was it. Underwear from that point on, he started out pretty well, we kept having to ask him if he had to pee. We had very few accidents. I even was brave enough to venture out in public! He did great! Now a week and a half later, he knows when he has to pee and poop and tells me!! He calls his poops worms! I have no clue where he came up with that, he says "mom Im gonna try and get my worms out". The other day he was watching his favorite movie and he said "mommy, can you pause it, I have to pee!" Im am so proud that he caught on so fast, I could not be happier, it is great to not have to change his diaper.

I couldn't believe that this method worked. We now have started on Oliver! Wish us luck!
