Not Enough Time In The Day

So ....I guess I dont need to say this, but obviously I have been beyond busy. We have 2 hockey tournaments to put together. So Ive been working hard here and then busy with the kids. Im so excited for the next tournament...its in Escondido CA and lots of fun! Mother inlaw will have the kids...yay! Yes I have been a bad bloggy friend, Im hoping maybe today I can get my shit together and read some blogs! We will see!

So I know I tweeted about it last week, I havent spoken about it on here, I dont think, my memory is not what it used to be, by a long shot!! Beware, this is me totally bragging about my husband.

So like a week and ahalf ago, hubs company was going around doing surprise audits again on the company. Hubs had a new boss and his boss had told him that he needed to get a 90. Hubs last audit 6 months ago was great, because he had scored an 80 and this was great according to the company, where everyone was scoring in the 60's. Anyways, hubs was totally intimidated not really knowing his new boss and what he was capable of doing if hubs didnt get this 90, keep in mind, everyone in this company is resigning and getting fired due to not performing. Anyways, audit day comes and hubs calls and says, BOSS says if we score a 90 he will take us out to dinner. Throughout the day Im getting updates, "Im at an 85", "its 87.4"..."I think we are going to end up with an 89.1"....oh gees. Then hubs gets home and says..."I got a 90...pick a place to eat!" Mind you, only 3 other terminals have received a 90 in the history of the audit and this is a fortune 500 company with thousands of terminals nationwide.

Now I hear that hubs boss loves him, thinks hes great and tell him that he has big plans for him and wants to run some changes (promotion changes) by him. The manager of the Orange County terminal just quit and hubs tries to ask some questions...is it OC? Boss says "no...your bigger than that", and we cant imagine what it could be, but we know we will talk about it over dinner.

Mean while hubs and I are kind of stressin because quite honestly, we are not ready to move. It just doesnt make sense for our family right now. I mean I love it here and I love my house and Im not ready to leave it yet. But all we are thinking of, is if he doesnt take this promotion, will we be black balled and not offered any other promotions again? We dont know.

So Monday is here and we go to eat at Nobhill Tavern in the MGM, delicious by the way!!! We start talking and his boss is super great! Totally funny making fun of hubs...I have to tell you this little story that made me laugh, but its probably only funny to me because I know what this all looks like. Hubs has a really small, beat down terminal, its not in the nicest area and is just totally beat down when he got there. Hes been doing lots of work to it, new paint, new floors, new landscape, just to make it nicer. So hubs boss hasnt been his boss for what 6 weeks now. He starts off with, "so hubs has been late to conference calls (which hubs denies) and when I call and ask where hes at, they say hes with the painter, with the cement guy, various contractors. So Im coming to Vegas for the first time and hubs is doing all this work everytime I call, I think Im walking in to the Taj Mahal!....totally not the case." Im sorry, this is really hilarious if you could see hubs little rinki dink terminal...its nicer and cleaner, easier on the eye, but far, far, far from the Taj Mahal!

Ok back to business, hubs and boss had been speaking earlier that day Monday, so boss just fills me in. Long story short, boss is ALL about family, he says if its right for your family do it, if not, dont do it. He asked us when we thought it would be right and we said about 2 years. Boss said PERFECT...he said Trish, when YOUR ready, you call me and we will take care of you guys. For now, focus on your family and whats right, dont worry, as long as Im here, you guys can go where you want when your ready! Wow, I was astonished and very happy. He never did tell us what he had lined up for hubs because he said, the main fact was we are not ready and so he didnt want to tell us and have it maybe change our minds. So he did say when raises come along this year, he is working at changing hubs terminal level...that all has to do with pay stuff and try to get him a 7% raise!

Im totally proud of my husband, he is a great worker and going somewhere in this life. All his hard work is paying off. He loves his job and they love him! I feel totally blessed that I dont have a husband who is miserable at his job and has no drive to go anywhere in life. I know of a few people who arent will to take the risk for a shot at success, thats what its all about. Like they say, no guts no glory!

It was a great dinner, with great food, great people and great news! Couldn't ask for more!!!

The Boys' Room - Before & After

This is the BEFORE, not the before before...because I didnt take pictures before the 2nd bed came in, when there were much more toys and crap in the room! Have a look, Im happy with it and so are the boys.

AFTER

Under Olivers bed are baskets with Olivers bigger sized cars, one with all Jack train tracks and one with all the potato heads and pieces. We are taking advantage of the space under the beds.

You can see their growth mirrors I made for them....and the bin under Jacks bed has all the puzzles. Excuse all the little pieces of fake food you see floating around their room!

Each night stand has their favorite books!

Im still looking for something to put above this dresser.

Getting To Know Me

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless?
Ive never had a hairy man...but I don"t think Id mind either way....I would prefer hairless though.

2. How often do you run red lights?
I don't...I try to drive safe as I always travel with precious cargo.

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid?
CAMERON DIAZ....for as long as I could remember, she has been my style icon! Who wouldnt want her style/clothes?

5. What makes you feel sexy?

Cute undergarments

Honey Dew Intimates they are by far my favorite undie. Im a sucker for the rumba style, so girly and sexy. Yes you can wear them with jeans but thats about all unless you want people seeing your ruffle butt! These make me feel sexy paired with a cute bra.

6. I get excited when...........?

My kids are excited

My kids learn something new

My husband is happy

I get to redecorate!
I get to go shopping alone!!

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"?
This is a difficult question...no doubt Im "indoorsy", I hate the sun, when I say hate I mean that I hate what the sun does to ones skin, I dont like tans, a crowded place is definitely not my thing..BUT, and its a BIG but, I love new adventures with the family, I love family time, I love seeing the look on my families face when we are out having a good time. This is why, shortly, you will soon get to see beach pictures! Err...things I do for my family! What makes them happy, makes me happy.

8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars?

Hmm...I pretty much have close to my dream home. Its everything I wanted and now that I have it, I wish I had a few more bedrooms...who knows why! I would say a million dollars, because my dream home would not cost a million dollars, so I would buy it and then have goodies left over!

Those Liars....

Ok so I have been wanting to do this post for a while...well like 2 weeks. I havent because I havent really had time to sit down, think and write....just post a lot of pictures, haha.

Anywho, a few weeks ago, I went to the mall because I needed some basic things: Eyeliner, face wash and eye cream. I normally use the MAC liquid eyeliner, Dr. Perricone face wash and I dont really have a favorite eye cream. I dont mind trying new things so the fact that there was a long ass line at MAC at the time didnt bother me, I just went to the next open counter, which was Chanel.

I told her what I needed, she gave me everything. A super important thing in a cleanser is that it takes off all my eye make up! The Laura Mercier cleanser I bought didnt do it and this cream cleanser by Chanel doesnt do it either! Why must they lie? I mean, now I will probably not ever go back to that counter, if another counter I need is busy. Then the liquid eyeliner she sold me sucks too. Its a cool pen one, that you twist up to make eyeliner come out. I dont know how many times I have to twist that thing each morning to get a little bit of liner out! Im not really one to return things, Ill probably put the Chanel cleanser in the guest bathroom.

Again....why the lie? Does this just happen to me or everyone. This is why I love Sephora...they can give you what you need honestly no matter what brand it is.

Our Weekend In Pictures

Saturday morning, cleaning up and vacuuming before heading to Toys R Us. Obviously I didnt get any pics at Toys R Us because who takes their camera to Toys R Us?

Brother was napping and so Jack and Daddy mowed the lawn, gotta keep everything clean and tidy!

Painting....

Today I decided to do a paint day. I had bought some canvases at Michaels a few weeks ago and decided today was a perfect day! Its 83 degrees and beautiful!!! I will show their finished work of art probably next week when I unveil their new room and also because at the end of painting, it got a little hectic and I didnt take a picture and didnt remember until now!

Something For Me

So what I love about this planned community I live in is that there is activities up the whazoo...for ALL! There is a little paper that is sent out with all the activities. The good thing is that in the community there are several activity centers and they all offer their own thing, I event think its city wide but for sure in our Summerlin community.

Any ways, hubs had picked up some paperwork at the activity center at the park he takes the kids to and was looking through it at home and saw that there was a photography class. He knows Ive been dabbling in it and to be truthful I havent been successful, its a hard thing! So he suggested I take the class! Its perfect too because its at night! So this wanna be photographer will be gettin' some lessons! Hopefully you will all see it reflect in my pictures! Im so excited!
