Yes, on March 9, 2010 @ 7:57pm Quinn Analeigh Rocco was born weighing in as one of the smallest Roccos at 7lbs 1oz & 19 1/4 inches. She is absolutely perfect!
So the story is as follows:
Tuesday morning I was contracting all morning long, I HAD to give the guys (hubs, Jack and Oliver) their haircuts so, I worked through the contractions. With the contractions I also had some constant pain in my belly which was worrying me. So I called my doctor and he told me to go in to labor and delivery mainly for the pain.
I go into l&d and of course the contractions stop, some uterin irritability shows up but they are not sure why Im having pain. The doctor says to monitor me a little longer. The grumpy nurse goes on lunch and I get a great fresh new nurse. She gets ready to check me (the grumpy nurse had checked me and I was nothing), the new nurse says that my cervix has dropped a little (my cervix is normally super high) and I am dialated to 1cm. All of a sudden, my contractions start back up pretty strong and pretty close together. The doctor calls back just in time while all this great stuff is happening and says to admit me! Yay! I call hubs, he couldnt be there with me in l&d triage with the kids, hes at home. So we have no clue when my c-section will be, I call my mom and tell her to get her buns on the road, she has a 3 hour drive. She was set up to fly in the next day.
Im admitted and in a room (why they kept trying to give me an epidural was beside me, I mean yes I was in labor but I wasnt that desperate, I was definitely gonna wait for the spinal) so hubs is able to come and bring the kids, its about 4pm. We are still not sure when they are going to take us in. Luckily the doctor wanted to finish his office visits (we needed as much time as possible to allow my mom to get in to town to watch the boys). They did say they were going to bump the already schedules c-sections for me (boo), but so far we hadnt heard anything else but needed to be prepared as to what to do with the kids! The wife from hubs employee at work was no longer an option because she was working and so was the employee. I thought about our little babysitter from across the street, I texted her. Another hockey employee that just moved here to Vegas and is always bugging me to be friends with his wife we thought about too, so we put in a call there. Luckily the neighbor texted me back and said she would wait at the house for hubs to get home. Yay! She was our life saver, I finally was at ease knowing that hubs would not miss the delivery of our baby girl! My mom finally got in at 6:30pm, went and picked up the boys, got to the hospital right as they were taking me back. Then the little lady was delivered! The surgery went awesome, this doctor uses a different c-section procedure that is non evasive and boy could I feel the difference! It also took a little longer as well and was well worth the time. They send me to recovery in my room! With the baby! Im so not used to that! The baby was with me the whole time and we were able to be with our family!
It was amazing how great I felt aside from the constant vomiting until 3am even with medication. I didnt have to have any kind of pain medication until a little more than a full 24 hours after the surgery and that was mainly for the pressure and gas pain (I think only other c-section mommas know this pain), but I really havent had any actual incision pain! Its been great! I had great nurses too!
The baby at first sight we thought was Olivers twin! Then she got cleaned and turned into Jacks twin. Shes definitely a little white girl. In the pictures her hair looks dark but in person her hair is a really light brown with blonde highlights, she has really light skin, mostly red right now! hehe I predict she will have brown eyes, who knows now, but its kind of what I think. She is amazing! She latched on right away and is breastfeeding like a pro. She sleeps like a pro too! Its impossible to wake her up to eat...because she will sleep until or even pass a feeding!
Anyways, here are a few pictures....
Just waiting around!

Silly hubs getting ready to go into the OR

Theres our little Quinn! You wouldnt believe the graphic pictures we got! The anesthesiologist took our camera and took pictures of them pulling Quinn out! Holy Moly!

Our baby girl!

Momma and baby!

Just us....the boys didnt want to pose for pictures!

Jack all excited to see Quinn!

Oliver could not stop kissing and petting her!

Oli Balboa, look at his little black eye! Yes he is my crazy one. The funny thing is, one of my kids are always hurt when I go to have a baby! When Oli was born Jack had a slice down his face, well it was already healing, but you could definitely see it in the pictures. Now we present, Oli Balboa! I really have no clue what happened! Its a Grandma thing....

More kisses
