Fun Weekend!

This weekend we did a whole lot! Saturday the boys went to the park in the morning with hubs and then they came home and we went SHOPPING!! I love shopping!

Heres a few things purchased! I needed eye cream, face wash and an eye liner. I bought all new brands I havent tried before. All Chanel.
I bought Jack an Easter outfit at a few stores! haha...couldnt make up my mind!
Then we got Oliver an outfit and a cute plain black shirt! Hes cool like that!
Heres some stuff I got for Quinn! Now only if she would grow! Shes starting to! yay!
Here are Quinns first outfits from Neiman Marcus! I was only gonna get one but I couldn't help myself! Would have been more if hubs and boys werent getting impatient! The dark pink and grey dress, I took the picture of the back because its way cute and the reason I bought it!
Then we went and bought Oliver his bed and toured a few furniture places. I found my chest on sale for a great price and so we bought our dresser chest (armois) for our bed room too! They both should come in late this week! Yippee!!

Then Easter came early this Sunday for us! We will be in California next weekend for hockey on Saturday, and Sunday we will hang with family but we still wanted to do an Our Family Easter! So this was our Sunday. I had to go early and pick up one of the presents because they didnt have it at the initial store I went to Saturday. But the boys didnt know because they were at the park with Daddy again. So when they went down for nap time we put everything together for them!

Daddy putting it all together for the kids, they will be so excited when they wake up! Ignore my husband in his lounging outfit. He changed just for the pictures! Ha!

The cottage in all its glory with the rest of their presents! Quinns presents was all the pretty clothes she got!

Still groggy, trying to see whats out there!

Jack got a t-ball and oli a lawn mower!

t
Showing off some of his trains!
Then we BBQ'd...eating some chips and guacamole!

Then we have to cap off the wonderful day with a picture of my Quinn! She slept through most of the events of the day!

Its gonna be a big one!

So mine and hubs 4th Wedding Anniversary is coming up! We have been together for 8 years, will be married for 4 on March 31! I have the perfect gift for him and I know he will love it! I've been known to do this once before but it wasnt a birthday/anniversary gift, it was a just because thing.

Anywho, hubs hates his car. I dont know why, its not bad at all. He had an SUV a few years back but he drove like 40 miles one way to work at the time and with gas in the $4 range or was it high $3's, I dont remember, we were just wasting money, spending about $500 a month on gas alone. So we went out and got him a Honda Hybrid. The best thing! Now he doesnt NEED the car and is miserable in it. He had wanted a Ford Flex since they came out, which would be good because it has lots of room, but so does my Tahoe. So then hes had his heart set on a truck. You always need a truck! I know we do! So Im getting him a truck! Im getting him a brand new Ford F-150 crew cab. I think I'm gonna get him White. Im lucky because my cousin has been in the car business since who knows when (hes my age)and has sold us all our cars except the Honda. Right now Im working with him on hubs Truck! Hubs will be sooo surprised and excited!

Heres a pic....but imagine in white!

We will be in California for our Anniversary, Jack has a doctors appointment with his specialist. Hubs says he has some stuff planned that he wont tell me about! Looks like we both have some surprises up our sleeves! Cant wait!!!

For good measure, here is a picture of my Quinnie Poo...awake at last!

A Sigh Of Relief.....

When Oliver had his 18 month appointment the doctor (and us) were a bit worried because he doesnt talk as much as he should. Being a mother of one special needs child, my mind got rolling and I brought up the possibility of autism. There are several types of autism and I spoke with a few people with autistic kids and a few friends of ours with children who are autistic and knew that it really didnt fit but thought maybe its a mild form that just affected his speech. The doctor gave us some screenings that he passed with flying colors because I guess the main problem in autistic children are their socializing skills, which Oliver is amazingly social. The doctor set us up with a referral with Early Intervention...its a state funded program that works with children (mainly special needs) to help them develop on track. We are very familiar with them because in California we worked with the Braille Institute and Early Intervention for Jack. I credit the work we did in conjunction with those schools for Jack developing so greatly and being the rare few with his condition who arent blind or close to being blind.

Today was Olivers appointment. Hubs went with him because Quinn had her appointment again. Her doctor wants to see her weekly because (this is normal for my children) she is underweight. My kids (all of them) are underweight and have always been no matter what! Oliver is a fricken garbage disposal and is in the 23 percentile in weight. Jack was the same way. Jack was actually put on a high fat, high caloric diet to gain weight, that was hard, for me, because I always had to make his food differently. Luckily, now his weight has finally normalized and he is 37 lbs of pure muscle! Oliver, I dont know...hes nuts and has no limits on what he eats, but Im not worried because I know as a mom that theres nothing else I can really do aside from giving him 1 more egg on top of the 2 eggs or 2 bowls of cereal he eats for breakfast and thats just ridiculous. So anyways, Quinn eats like shes supposed to and thats all Im worried about.

OK back to Olis appointment...after Quinns appointment I went to meet hubs and Oli at his. They were just finishing up and Oli is perfect! Aside from his lack of speech (by the way, he does say mama, daddy, whats that, Jack, no, yes), they were pleasantly surprised to find that Oliver is way advanced in every other skill! I was very happy about that. They said that normally children with speech delays have delays in the other skills as well which makes it harder for them to learn to speak. Not Oliver. She said, hes probably just a little lazy and that he probably doesnt feel the need to speak but that they will work with him and force it out of him! They also said that everything we are doing with him is perfect! We have tons of puzzles and picture books that we are always working with him on. They said that explains his advanced skills in other areas!

Its been a scary month waiting for this but I knew in my heart nothing was wrong with him because he communicates and listens, understands and learns other things so easily. Thats my great story for the day.

Not much....

going on here! I don't have much to say but really feel the need to blog for some reason!

The kids are great and are all napping! Quinn is awesome and all she does is sleep! How many pictures can I possibly post of a sleeping baby!? I wont do that to y'all.

I had my doctors appointment today and Im doing great! I really can not believe what difference this c-section was and its because its a different type of c-section. Its absolutely amazing!

So during my c-section the doctor had mentioned that my uterus was very thin and would never have made it through labor, so thank goodness that we opted to just go ahead and do a c-section. So after doc said that, hubs looked at me and told me to shove it! He knew what my next words were going to be and so I listened. I did not want to hear bad news on that great day! So today during my appointment I asked the dreaded question, I had already prepared myself for the dreary news. Luckily....I got the answer I wanted and not the answer I prepared myself for! My question was....because my uterus was so thin, am I able to still have more babies? The answer was yes!!!! He explained that he reinforced my uterus (which I didnt know was possible) and I will be great to have as many babies as I want, I just can't labor them! Im a-ok with that. He recommends waiting 6 months before getting pregnant again! Im a-ok with that as well!

Now some more great news. Im healing great and losing weight like majorly fast! I can not believe it! I dont think I have ever lost baby weight this fast. I have 6 more pounds until I get back to prebaby weight, but all us mommys know that means nothing because our bodies are still all weird and out of wack! But I have been working with my arm weights and trying to strengthen my belly at every moment I get! Its a great feeling! I seem to be losing at this point a pound a day...so lets see how much I can lose. After the 6 lbs I would like to lose another 10...so Im going to stay on track so it doesnt get too difficult.

Today is the first day Im all by my lonesome with all 3 kids! My mother inlaw left this morning! Its been such a great help. First my parents came to help with the kids and house work for a week and then my mother inlaw came! Her and the kids were always at the park or in the back yard or somewhere outside, they had a ball and I was happy because it had been a while since I had the energy to take them out for a good time! Its been great and Im super lucky but now its back to the real world and Im a little frightened! Nap time went ok, putting down 3 kids under the age of 3 was easier than it sounds!

Hubs and I took advantage of the last weekend of help and actually went to a movie yesterday! We saw Shes Out Of My League, very very funny! Would def. recommend it! I also was watching lots of movies while mother inlaw was here! She would make me just take it easy so I got a chance to catch up on movies I hadn't seen! It was very very nice! We actually went out to eat last night as well, I had a margarita with my mother inlaw and it was heaven!!! Since alcohol goes through your milk within an hour of consumption, I did go home and pump it out!

So hopefully, Quinn is more alert next week and Ill have some pictures to share! For now, here a few of the boys and maybe one of Quinn!

I have had a great week! Life has been awesome with my 3 children! I have been MIA, but I KNOW all of you understand! Im just busy making sure all my little lovies know Im here for them. Im bonding and spending mucho time with all of them and getting to know Quinn! She is amazing! Although she sleeps all dang day! She has been awake more often during the day lately. My parents have been here, my mom for a week to help and its been great, she was a great help. I will miss her, she left today! Right now, hubs is picking up mother inlaw from the airport...its her turn to help. She has big plans for her and the boys, cant wait!

Shes Here!!

Yes, on March 9, 2010 @ 7:57pm Quinn Analeigh Rocco was born weighing in as one of the smallest Roccos at 7lbs 1oz & 19 1/4 inches. She is absolutely perfect!

So the story is as follows:

Tuesday morning I was contracting all morning long, I HAD to give the guys (hubs, Jack and Oliver) their haircuts so, I worked through the contractions. With the contractions I also had some constant pain in my belly which was worrying me. So I called my doctor and he told me to go in to labor and delivery mainly for the pain.

I go into l&d and of course the contractions stop, some uterin irritability shows up but they are not sure why Im having pain. The doctor says to monitor me a little longer. The grumpy nurse goes on lunch and I get a great fresh new nurse. She gets ready to check me (the grumpy nurse had checked me and I was nothing), the new nurse says that my cervix has dropped a little (my cervix is normally super high) and I am dialated to 1cm. All of a sudden, my contractions start back up pretty strong and pretty close together. The doctor calls back just in time while all this great stuff is happening and says to admit me! Yay! I call hubs, he couldnt be there with me in l&d triage with the kids, hes at home. So we have no clue when my c-section will be, I call my mom and tell her to get her buns on the road, she has a 3 hour drive. She was set up to fly in the next day.

Im admitted and in a room (why they kept trying to give me an epidural was beside me, I mean yes I was in labor but I wasnt that desperate, I was definitely gonna wait for the spinal) so hubs is able to come and bring the kids, its about 4pm. We are still not sure when they are going to take us in. Luckily the doctor wanted to finish his office visits (we needed as much time as possible to allow my mom to get in to town to watch the boys). They did say they were going to bump the already schedules c-sections for me (boo), but so far we hadnt heard anything else but needed to be prepared as to what to do with the kids! The wife from hubs employee at work was no longer an option because she was working and so was the employee. I thought about our little babysitter from across the street, I texted her. Another hockey employee that just moved here to Vegas and is always bugging me to be friends with his wife we thought about too, so we put in a call there. Luckily the neighbor texted me back and said she would wait at the house for hubs to get home. Yay! She was our life saver, I finally was at ease knowing that hubs would not miss the delivery of our baby girl! My mom finally got in at 6:30pm, went and picked up the boys, got to the hospital right as they were taking me back. Then the little lady was delivered! The surgery went awesome, this doctor uses a different c-section procedure that is non evasive and boy could I feel the difference! It also took a little longer as well and was well worth the time. They send me to recovery in my room! With the baby! Im so not used to that! The baby was with me the whole time and we were able to be with our family!

It was amazing how great I felt aside from the constant vomiting until 3am even with medication. I didnt have to have any kind of pain medication until a little more than a full 24 hours after the surgery and that was mainly for the pressure and gas pain (I think only other c-section mommas know this pain), but I really havent had any actual incision pain! Its been great! I had great nurses too!

The baby at first sight we thought was Olivers twin! Then she got cleaned and turned into Jacks twin. Shes definitely a little white girl. In the pictures her hair looks dark but in person her hair is a really light brown with blonde highlights, she has really light skin, mostly red right now! hehe I predict she will have brown eyes, who knows now, but its kind of what I think. She is amazing! She latched on right away and is breastfeeding like a pro. She sleeps like a pro too! Its impossible to wake her up to eat...because she will sleep until or even pass a feeding!

Anyways, here are a few pictures....
Just waiting around!
Silly hubs getting ready to go into the OR
Theres our little Quinn! You wouldnt believe the graphic pictures we got! The anesthesiologist took our camera and took pictures of them pulling Quinn out! Holy Moly!
Our baby girl!
Momma and baby!
Just us....the boys didnt want to pose for pictures!
Jack all excited to see Quinn!
Oliver could not stop kissing and petting her!

Oli Balboa, look at his little black eye! Yes he is my crazy one. The funny thing is, one of my kids are always hurt when I go to have a baby! When Oli was born Jack had a slice down his face, well it was already healing, but you could definitely see it in the pictures. Now we present, Oli Balboa! I really have no clue what happened! Its a Grandma thing....More kisses
