Procrastination, I know we are all guilty

Im trying desperately to clean my house because my sister in-law and mother in-law are in route here as we speak!! Ive been trying all day but things just arent going as planned.

First, our landscapers to finish the pavers in the backyard were supposed to be here at 9 AM and I was to meet them at Lowes to pick the pavers up, did they come? You got it, NO! So we call them and they dont answer and then finally my hubs went to work and I finally got a hold of them and they had some lame excuse as to why they didnt come and of course being as hormonal as I am these days I let them have it. So I spent the next hour and a half looking for another person to come and do it....whole other story, really, but no one wants to read a story like that!

So that ruined the first part of my morning, rather than going and getting that done and coming back and cleaning, I had to sit and be lazy on the tele, phoning landscapers. So I sat for a bit and gave the kids lunch and such, then kind of started. Let me remind you that on a good day (or 2) it takes me 2 days to clean my house with a 2 year old and a 1 year old running amuck! Oh ya I have a 3100 square foot house, so you get the picture. Yes I am attempting to clean it in a half a day! NOT. HAPPENING.

So my 2 year old is crazy tired and wont nap....Im banking on getting the majority of my work done while Oliver is on nap #2 and Jack is out, but no....I just kept trying to clean while Jack was doing crazy things. Oh side note, while both kids were up and I was busy cleaning one of three bathrooms I didnt hear nearly as much chaos as I should have so I got up to see the 2 wackos playing in the other toilet. Let me tell you, this is my number one pet peeve and Jack knows better. Both kids were soaked to the bone (good thing toilets gross me out and I clean them just about every other day). Needless to say Jack got in trouble while Oli just sat and watched him get in trouble. So that took some time to clean up because not only was the floor and rugs soaked but there was toilet paper everywhere! LIFE IS GREAT!

So that mess was done and Oli is asleep and Im struggling and doing everything in my power to get Jack to knock out! No such luck. Finally Oliver woke up and Jack hit the hay...not ideal but Ill live. Unfortunately Oliver is a baby cry/mommas boy and pretty much cant live life if im not in sight, so this has made this job a little harder especially without brother to distract him! Right now we just finished a snack and Oli is in the office while Im here! I guess thats my cue to go clean 1400 sq ft of hardwood floors! Yay me!!!!! Errrr.........

Please dont make me.........

I'd Trade My Husband For a Housekeeper

This is the title of the new book I just bought. My family and I were passing by the book section in Target and the title totally grabbed me and I thought it was hilarious and also agreed! Even my hubs laughed a little too!

On the back of the book was this, which cemented the fact that I was getting this book:

You need this book if.....

You spend more time with Mr. Potato Head than your husband

You rank sex below clipping your childs fingernails, calling your in-laws and showering

Youre psyched when your husband goes on a business trip because you wont have to shave your legs

You've fantasized about spraining your ankle just so you can spend some quiet time in the emergency room

Your last "date night" was...when you were dating

This book just sounds too funny! I'm going to start reading it today when the kids are napping so I will update all 5 of you as to how it is! haha

Oh By The Way.....

Can I just say, I went shopping the other day, what else is new right? I bought some onsale shorts from JCrew and some Sanctuary shorts at Macys and I absolutely love both of them!!!!! I will try and find pics and post. Sanctuary has become my new favorite brand! I also bought a one shoulder black ruffle top by them, and its so flattering! Heres the top I bought and I think it was only $60, for some reason I cant find the shorts I bought anywhere, maybe Ill take a picture and post it but they were $80.

Here are the shorts from JCrew and they were only $30! They are so super comfy and fit great!!! I wish they had more colors because I would have definitely bought more. Unfortunately all they had was some weird pinkish whitish color....not my color! I also bought some cute headbands there as well. Since my chop job on my hair Ive found that headbands make my hair liveable! I went on a shopping spree at Nordstroms for headbands! They have the cutest ones!

While on the Bloomingdales website looking for my Sanctuary shorts because apparently Macys carries the brand instore and not online....weird, I found these Sanctuary pants! They are too cute and I need to get them!

Change of Plans!

So this morning on my way home from the gym, I spoke with my momma and was telling her of our plans for the 4th and then she told me her, my brother and his friend were coming up! So now instead of the river we are staying home! So now Im cleanin cleanin...which I needed to do anyways! Im happy anyhwo because I couldnt find cheap rooms in Laughlin this close to the Holiday! Next time, they go to the river all the time anyways!

So on to my next great thing! So as you know from my previous posts, I had been ill for a bit and lost about 15 lbs from just not being able to eat. I was afraid that when my appetite came back I would gain it all back, thankfully no! I havent even been eating to great either so Im super surprised that I've only gained 2 lbs back! I decided I need to keep losing and definitely tone up and Ive been in a sort of rut here now that hockeys over and decided to join the gym for the classes only! I went yesterday to the Las Vegas Athletic Club, it was so easy and super cheap. I pay $30 a month for the whole huge gym, included classes and day care if I needed. Their day care room is HUGE!!! It has jungle gyms and age appropiate toys in the age appropriate areas and several staff members tending to the children. I dont even have to pay any extra if I want to use the day care! I get towel service so I dont have to bring a towel. If you just bring your membership card and keys they will hold it up front for you! They have a womens gym, mens gym and co-ed gym, 2 class rooms, a track, raquet ball courts, basketball courts and so much more! Its amazing and the start up fee was just $5! Really! So all I payed yesterday was $65 dollars and I dont pay my monthly fee until September, so I payed 2 months up front and my $5 start up! Pretty freakin' neat since Im used to the 24 hour fitness $500 fee upfront and to be able to access a gym similar to this you could possibly pay $50 a month not including day care!

So anyways, this morning I got my flabby buns up at 5:30 AM and just went, I didnt even know which classes were being held. So I get there and see its yoga and spin...haha spin, yeah right. So I go to yoga and realize I didnt bring my mat. Shit. I contemplate just doing cardio but I really hate the gym. So I get the courage to go to the spin class thinking, I'll leave half way through. Keep in mind I always knew what spin was about and never ever even had the slightest inclination to try it. They say you burn something like 1000 calories in an hour class...that was enough to keep me far away!

Anyways, I go in get my machine and we start.....freakin 15 minutes pass so fast! Im like I can do this! 30 minutes in, Im thinking "holy shit what am I doing?", "am I going to be functional to chase after my crazy kids?", "Should I leave?", "I cant leave, no one else is leaving, Ill look like a wuss". Needless to say, I dont leave and as soon as I get in the mindset to keep going, the instructor says "Ok, warm up done, now on to the work out". WTF???...warm up? You've got to be kidding me, ok I can do this, I got this? I think?....errrr. Now Im watching the clock....wondering when it would be appropriate for me to get off this darn bike and give up...5 more minutes left in to the class and we are doing 2 minute intervals push up the resistance. 0 minutes left in the class, Im thinking oh thank goodness! Then the instructor asks, "whos up for 2 more minutes?" A few people do their Whoos and Im doing my "shit", I couldnt leave, the pregnant girl infront of me is staying! So I do 2 more minutes. We slow down and cool off with no resistance, he asks again "2 more minutes?"...I close my eyes and scrunch my face hoping not to hear any more whoos and thankfully I dont! Its over and I made it through the dreaded spinning class. I feel shakey and absolutely amazing, even hours later as Im telling my story on how I lived through a spin class. Im planning on making it my every Friday class!

Im not really planning on doing weekend classes but plan on going just about every morning otherwise! If I have any exciting class stories I will for sure share!!!!

Who else spins? Do you love it?

4th Of July!!

This 4th of July, our plans were to definitely stay home, no more driving out to California. We were just going to BBQ and light fireworks with the rest of our block and/or go to Red Rock where they have an awesome fireworks show. Our street is filled with children, which a great thing!

Well today my husband was having a going away party at work for one of his employees that is moving to Idaho and me and the kids went to eat cake! Anyways, back to the story, my cousin then called me and told me that we should meet them at the river! They have a boat and seadoos, so I asked my husband and he gave the ok! So tomorrow night we will head out to the River and will have a great time all weekend!

So hopefully we will have some fun stories and great pictures to share with everyone!

What are everyone elses plans!?
