More Updates

So Im sitting here trying to rectify the payroll for the conference call tomorrow. The past two weeks have been so incredibly busy! Today has been crazy...I just want to fall down and well, just fall down! Today I went by the house and the floors were being installed and they look absolutely incredible! The tile was drying still so the grout was still wet and not the final color yet and the tile is filthy with dust and so forth but it looks so so so good! Here are some pictures!

So today I went and payed for the granite, I had to wait to get it because if I payed cash I wouldnt have to pay tax so I had to wait after the tournament so I could give them cash! The installer is going to go to the house Thursday and take the old granite off. My mom is taking the old granite. Thursday also the carpet is being installed and its going to look perfect. I saw my pot rack today and some lighting fixtures for the house. Oh I also bought my sink....its soooo nice, its composite granite and color graphite...9 inches deep! I also got my faucet too...its great. Photobucket
Anyways...that all the updates for now!

Crazy Weekend!

Oh my goodness. We got back early this morning from a very crazy busy weekend. We had a huge hockey tournament that I touched on in an earlier post. I worked Saturday from 7am until 1am! Wow...Dave worked too, but not as long, he was on and off the clock. Sunday we both worked until 12noon until about 11pm, I was tournament directing and he was reffing. We had so much fun...I worked with my little Danito (Danielle) and we had a blast. We had bought a Karaoke machine for the microphone to do the awards and wow....bad idea. Come Sunday evening we were so tired and delirious that we were actually using the Karaoke machine. We were playing some country and doing some line dancing and then I did my Beyonce act, singing and dancing to Single Ladies. Its a good thing everyone was as crazy tired as us other wise they would have thought we were completely insane. And...ugh...Saturday we saturated ourselves with cookies, icecream cupcakes and other crap like that and Sunday we were stuffing ourselves with Mexican food! This week I will have to fast because next weekend we are having a peanut butter fest! Whoo hoo! We had so much fun together. Hockey is so fun for us...we go and socialize and Dave has known his refs for 15 years so most of them are great friends and we hang out and just have tons of fun. My parents are so stoked to see the kids that they take them for the weekend or they go with Oli's god parents or Jacks godparents, everyone is fighting for them. Anyways, we are completely lucky with what we have. We both do this great job for the hockey tournament that people would kill to have. Yes we get stressed during the week while putting it all together but we make lots of money while working at home and still spending time with our kids and also have some fun. We have back to back tournaments this week so I better get started on this next tournament!

This was day one....thank goodness this was the only picture of our crazy weekend! And you cant even see me! haha...they thought they caught me!

NewThings

So me and the boys went to the Henderson Galleria Thursday, I only go to Fashion Show when I absolutely have to, the strip in annoying. Anyways, we went to the mall because Jack needed some spring clothing...its starting to get warm here. Although all of a sudden, it took a turn for the cold! Anyways, I was also needing some more face make up. I normally use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and the powder foundation. They only carry that at Saks or select Sephoras. Obviously I wasnt getting that at the Galleria. I was walking through Dillard make up department and asked this random lady if I can get Laura Mercier in this mall and of course the answer was no. But she happened to be the Guerlaine make up pro and tried to sell me on it. I thought I would try the powder foundation, which smells lovely, and I cant use regular foundation...I hate caking that shit on my face, i go for the polished natural look. Anyways, she also showed me the meteor rocks...its this dust that you dust over your finished make up and it keeps in in place all day long. Sounded and tested great, along with the milk cleanser. Again, I wasnt so sure so I just got the powder but Im thinking of going back and checking those things out. I love my face cleanser now (Dr. Perricone), but I love milk cleansers. Anyways, I will always use my LM tinted Moisturizer and my Keils water based SPF but I may switch to this line if it works out. The powder wears really nice and give a nice subtle luminous glow. Ill update you on the other pieces of the line I try!

Update!

Well...my woodfloors have come in and Im getting ready to go check them out. I think installation will probably start Monday! The tile in the bathrooms and laundry room is coming along and looking sooo good! Right now I should be working because the kids are sleeping and I have alot to do. We have a crazy big tournament this weekend and Im still packing and printing paperwork out. I lag. I work best under pressure or time constraint. Oh well...thats my nature. Yes we are crazy for going to Cali for every tournament but let me tell you coaches and managers would go crazy without me. We tried not going to tournaments and I was bombarded with calls all day. Might as well go and make some good money. Its the best job, we just socialize, watch the cute little kids play hockey and hang with our friends, cant get any better than that!
I cant wait to get out of this crazy small place we are living. Its not really that small but it just seems so. Its 1700 square feet but upstairs and downstairs and so it seems small. I cant wait to get back from this weekend because then im going to start buying my lighting fixtures and buy my granite and all sorts of other little things. When we are in California we have to go to Living Spaces and get the other half of a couch we bought a few months ago, its in storage right now because we were going to use it for Daves loft but he wants some other couch so Im going to let him have what he wants and just use those couches and get rid of this sectional we are using. Wow...I went off subject. Anyways I guess Ill get back to work, I have some other stuff to talk about a little later maybe while Im at the tournament Ill update my blog! haha...thats what they pay me the big bucks for!

Oh when I go to the house I will take pics of the floors to update and a pic of the actual wood floors if I can!

Stress

This house thing is too much fun but at the same time its sooo much stress! We are over budget and now its down to getting things even cheaper than planned! Ahhh....So far today I saved $1400 yay, on granite and tile installation! So that is good and the hubby is happy with that. Im also working on the March 28-29 tournament in Huntington Beach and Irvine and that has been lots of stress! This is a huge tournament that is going to happen, almost as many teams as there were for last seasons finals! Wow, the schedule took dave a long time to do last night. He was up until 2am this morning. Thank goodness that is done and now we just need to do the little things to get ready for the tournament! Thats my crazy stressful story. Im also still trying to lose weight, but ya, not really much time for that these days! The only exercise I get is walking to the park with the boys! That will have to be enough for now!

The House!

So we are getting lots and lots done to the house, it is so freakin' exciting! The interior paint will be done tomorrow! Yay! The colors came out so pretty, Im so happy! The contractor wanted $6000 to pull up all the slate downstairs and I was like heck no I could spend that money better! So we hired 2 laborers for $100 a piece, with mine, daves and my daddys help we got that shit done! Come on is that not a deal or what? My momma was hanging with the kiddies, thank goodness! Im just waiting for our floors to come in! I got black hard wood floors with beveled edges! They are going to look so pretty! I have the carpet thats waiting to be installed. I love this carpet! I shopped around so much for my carpet, I was determined not to settle! The initial estimate, I got was $13000! Ya I know! So I kept shopping around and kind of gave up and started settling on carpet for $6000, then I tried one more place and they could give me my dream carpet for super cheap! Im so ecstatic! He threw in a new top of the line padding for the same price and the other really thick padding! I also got my 18x18 tile for the bathrooms and laundry room! Another great deal I got was my granite! My kitchen is pretty darn big with lots of counter space and the first estimate I got was $6500, yeah right. I found this guy who buys slabs back from big companies and got granite for my kitchen for $1000, and its sooo pretty! Hopefully we can get that installed next Monday or Tuesday, gotta wait till this weekend of hockey to pass so I can pay for it! haha! Next, I have my master closet that my dad is going to build me organization for! This is so exciting because I get to do everything myself and pick everything out and even do some of the work so we will appreciate the house more. Im waiting for the association to approve my colors for the outside of the house, its a pain, and the landscaping! Err....there is so so so much more but I will save that for when we get some of this stuff done! Ha.......

A little bit about me.....

Well first off, I am 25 years old and I feel I have done a lot in my life for my age. I graduated from the Fashion Institute in 2003 and went on to style fashion shows for a bit. Ive always loved fashion and luckily I have a husband who appreciates the person I already was and lets me still have my clothes that I love! I always knew I was born to be a mother and being in that industry would not allow me to actually be a mother and raise my own children so I left that industry, kind of. Then I went on to be a make up artist at Sephora and had so much fun the 2 years I was there! Doing events for BCBG and Armani Exchange was quite the experience. Then I left Sephora to be an auditor?! WTH? I know, but that was fun, I learned a lot and was able to make my own schedule and worked from home most of the time. Then I got married to my great husband and quit working. Our wedding was great, in wine country! So so so much fun, if you were there, well, lets not talk about it. haha. Anyways, shortly after I was pregnant with Jack, just as we planned! We would love 5 children and our plan is one right after another! Yes I think I am crazy but it will be well worth it. We would also love to foster-adopt a child too, we will see how it all turns out. I say at home with my babies right now and love it! I work for a hockey tournament series and me and dave pretty much run the whole thing. Its lots of fun and work and the best part is I still get to stay home and still make some extra $$! It does take us out to California once a month to work the tournaments but its good because the kids get to see gramma and papa and Auntie and Uncle. Theres alot more instore for us next year too (with hockey).

I love to scrapbook and make invitations and sew. Everyone tells me that I should do that for a living but I'll just keep it recreational for now. Im a very giving person and love to do things for people when I can. I've recently gotten in to cooking, I think last year. I started watching teh Food Network and fell in love! I've always been a baker (its in my blood)but cooking not so much, just basic, but thanks to the Food Network, that has changed.

Ok well, Ive went on long enough so.............Thats my story!
